Spending a golf vacation in a peaceful and quiet island where the atmosphere is so relaxing is a good way of rewarding one’s self from the sweats of everyday life. Located at Prince Edward Island, Dundarave Golf Club is an excellent destination that gives the guests a solemn yet challenging golf vibe. This place is just steps away from the Callaway Golf Performance Centre of Atlantic Canada and The Callaway Golf Divine Nine. Designed by architects Dana Fry and Dr. Michael Hurdzan, this red sandstone golf course opened in 1999.
Dundarave Golf Club mixes traditional and modern designs to attract both old and fresh golfers. The signature red sand traps frame almost all shots. Each green is guarded by bunkers of different sizes and shapes. The par-4, eighth hole heads towards the river with a deep ravine, guarding the left portion from tee to green. This course is not so long from the back tees at 6,606 yards. It is also not a pushover with a slope rating of 135. The natural setting, tough holes, and other amenities of this place ensure that every golf trip here is one that will be long remembered.
Dundarave Golf Club was the host of the 2006 Legends of Golf that featured Tom Watson and Jack Nicklaus. ScoreGolf Magazine recognized the club as the 43rd most underrated courses of the country. Golf Digest gave this place a 4-star rating. This golf club is a world-class layout that should be included on every golf vacation at Prince Edward Island.
