Hunter’s Creek Golf Club

It would be a mortal mistake to go on an Orlando golf trip and miss out Hunter’s Creek Golf Club. Well, actually, it would be hard to miss. For one, the famed golf course is just 15 minutes away from the Orlando International Airport and from the major attractions of Orlando. And another thing, this has got to be the longest public golf course in yardage at more than 7,300 yards from the tips. This is also quite known a go-to place by golfers – locals and tourists alike. The reasons are quite obvious.

Hunter’s Creek Golf Club is quantity with quality. Designer Lloyd Clifton has made sure every inch of this large property gets to proper use and that nothing goes to waste. True enough, the course is filled with all sorts of hazards and features that are meant to stun, trick and provoke the golfers. Its 18-holes meander through and around premier kind TifEagle greens, wide tree-lined fairways, strategically-placed shaped bunkers, and some thirteen sparkling lakes. Apparently, they don’t mean to act as mere decors. They sting when golfers let them. Now, is there room for surprise and question as to this course’s being a golf vacation favorite?

There is no question either why Hunter’s Creek Golf Club is as celebrated and awarded as it is played. The golf vacation destination has been ranked by Golf Digest as amongst the Top 100 Golf Courses in America. It is also a favorite site for tournaments including the US Open Qualifiers, PGA Tour Qualifiers, and the 2008 FSGA Florida State Public Links Championship. Missing this golf course is missing half of a lifetime. Or at least half the fun of a complete and epic Orlando golf getaway.
