Jekyll Island Golf – Pine Lakes Course

What’s best in Jekyll Island Golf-Pine Lakes Course is the absence of any homes or development that gives a unique golf vacation experience for today’s golfers. The course brings about the best of nature – both in the game and in its surroundings. Just like the Indian Mound course, this course is also on the open side off the tee and water is not a big factor on either with the exception of a handful of holes.

Jekyll Island Golf-Pine Lakes Course is an 18-hole course that features 6,802 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. It has a course rating of 71.9 and a slope rating of 130 on Bermuda grass. It has several holes with overhanging trees that require precision to avoid them off the tee and create the apparently generous landing areas less inviting. This course’s name is not a thoroughly apt one. The tree lines are not a big concern while playing and the water is even less factor. A golf trip to Pine Lakes Course creates a fun yet demanding golf mood that brings unforgettable experience to the golfers.

Both the Jekyll Island Golf-Pine Lakes Course and Indian Mound Course share several attributes because of their side-by-side setting. But the Pine Lakes Course is a little more modern in terms of bunkering. This course was renovated in 2002 creating a premier course of the Island. And since then, it has been making unforgettable memories out of every golf trip spent in this course.
