The first venture is almost always the make or break for anybody. For Fred Couples, the PGA Tour star, it was his first signature course. The Hamilton Hill Golf Course in Dacula, Georgia resulted from the concerted effort of the PGA Star and the renowned golf course architect Gene Bates. Needless to say, the result was beyond stunning. It echoes the genius of its creators – making it one of the best golf vacation destinations in Georgia.

The Hamilton Hill Golf Course is a combination of a challenging but fun layout, picturesque views, and the best year-round conditioning. Local and visiting golfers alike love the Bermuda grass fairways and the undulating bentgrass greens of the course. The 18-hole, par 72 medium length golf vacation favorite challenges the players with its many bunkers and water hazards that play on two holes. Looking at the Hamilton Hill Golf Course now, Fred Couples’ first venture into golf course design was both a make and a break. It made its way towards Georgia’s Top 10 list of best golf courses, and made its way further into the hearts of the state’s golf loving people. And it broke barriers for Couples to successfully enter the prestigious world of golf stars with signature courses.
