Famous for its panoramic beauty, Banff Springs Golf Club has an attractive and challenging layout located in the heart of Canada’s Rocky Mountains. Although golf critics have different opinions when it comes to the greatness of a course, one characteristic that they agree upon is that a great course must have great holes. And as for those who have already witnessed the beauty of the place, the holes here are the kind that would urge – more like, pressure – the golfers to take their skills to their next best level. Every golf trip to this place offers breathtaking views from every direction and a magnificent layout that thrills every golfer.
Banff Springs Golf Club amazes both amateurs and professionals because of its challenging layout. This golf course will delight and tempt each player from the actual holes to the optical illusions created by the neighboring mountains. Designer Stanley Thompson designed this original 18-hole golf course that features 7,083 yards in 1928. The course winds along the Bow River under the snow-capped peaks of Mount Rundle and Sulphur Mountain. Like many traditional courses, some improvements have been made to this golf vacation destination to make sure it challenges longer hitters and to proved the resort golfers one fine golfing experience. Nine holes were added in 1989 resulting in 27 holes of championship layout.
Banff Springs Golf Club offers a golf academy and practice facility to assist the players in sharpening their skills before a day on the links. Spending a week of golf vacation in this club will help the players to dramatically enhance their golfing skills with the aid of the professional trainers.
