A perfectly carved oasis of serenity is what the Doral Golf Resort is all about. Set in Miami’s 650 tropical acres, golfers from all around the globe flock the resort to experience some of the world’s most challenging layouts. The Blue Monster, The Gold Course, The Great White Course, The Red Course, and The Jim McLean Signature Course comprise the five 18-hole championship courses that Doral Resort takes pride on. These golf courses feature the strategic hole placements that will challenge and reward even the professional golfers.
The Blue Monster Course that features the undulating greens, long fairways, the deep Bermuda rough, and the assortment of water hazard, has been home to the prestigious PGA Tour for 45 years. This Dick Wilson masterpiece was also cited among the World’s Top 100 Holes by GOLF Magazine. The Great White Course on the other hand is a Greg Norman Signature Layout that offers great challenges for the advanced players. This course features the coquina crushed shells on each holes as well as the demanding fairways. Another layout that follows the traditional Florida design is The Gold Course. This Raymond Floyd gem features the dramatic 18th-hole island green that plays with a Par-4. The course also hosted the PGA Qualifying Schools finals in 1999. For corporate tournaments, The Red Course is often opted. The layout features the 14 water holes with winding fairways that challenged the participants of the LPGA Office Depot Championship in 2001. To complete Miami’s premier course, The Jim McLean Signature was added. This layout features the phenomenal par 3s, the toughest starting holes, and the five sets of tees to test the novice and champion golfer’s swinging abilities.
