The Crosswater Course of Sunriver Resort is a premier 18-hole bent grass heathland style golf facility that offers the 7,683 yards of play. This Robert E. Cupp masterpiece has been cited as among “America’s 100 Greatest Courses” by Golf Digest and served as the host for the Tradition Major Championship of JELD-WEN from 2007-2010. Set in the magnificent 600 acres of carefully preserved wetlands and woodlands, the Crosswater features the bent grass greens and fairways threaded by the Little Deschutes and Deschutes Rivers, and the five tee placements for every hole that balance the risks against the rewards. Golfers can also enhance their swinging skills on the driving range and the chipping and putting greens before taking the rounds at one of the world’s finest greens.
Considered as one of the Northwest’s favorite golf destination, the Meadows Course of Sun River Resort features the use of fore-bunkers that provide ample challenges to sorts of golfers. The Meadows also served as the host for popular golf competitions like the championship tournament of the NCAA Men’s Division as well as several USGA and NCAA golf tournaments. Designed by John Fought, an acclaimed golf course architect that was once a U.S. Amateur Champion; the course has the bent grass greens and tees that wind through the strands of Lodge Pole Pine and Ponderosa.
The Woodlands Course of Sunriver Resort was designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., a renowned golf course architect. This par 72, 6,913 yard course debuted in 1981 and has been considered as one of the all-time favorites of the locals. The course features the tree-lined corridors and challenging greens that go along with scenic views, beautiful setting, and superb conditioning. Prominent in the area are the water features and lava rock outcroppings. Being flocked by golfers of all ability levels from across the nation, Woodlands was given the distinction as a “Gold Medal Award-Winning Resort” by the prestigious Golf Magazine. In order to go past the various layout challenges, accuracy on shots is required.
